Isaac-Clarke Academy of Dance (ICAD) started life in London in 2003 with a small group of young children attending a ballet class. This became a firm favourite with the local community, and within a few months, further ballet, modern and tap classes were established. Our aim was to provide an understanding, encouraging and safe environment in which children and young people were able to gain self-confidence, co-ordination and musicality….and have fun!
When Shelley relocated to Mumbles, ICAD embarked upon a new venture and introduced ballet classes in the village in January 2009. With the support of some lovely local mums and dads, Shelley continues her mission to nurture children’s instinctive joy of movement and freedom of expression in a creative and professional environment.
The Academy currently offers pre-school, grade and vocational classes in the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet syllabus, Silver Swans Adult Ballet, as well as Contemporary and Tap classes.
