ZOOM…need I say more! What fun, what strangeness and once again what incredible dancers and supportive families as we remain resolute in our determination to continue dancing 💕
March 2020
An exam session like no other! With the global pandemic putting to bay our scheduled exams, we rose to the occasion and with the support of the wonderful RAD Regional Manager and HQ, we were one of the first dance schools in the country to film an exam session! Dancers are known for their resilience and adaptability, ensuring the day, whilst a little ‘crazy’ was very special. I am extremely thankful to all our parents who, first and foremost managed the girls disappointment and frustration at having worked so hard, only to be told they were not going to be able to present their work….and then have to perform in front a camera at such short notice, and without their final coaching classes! It was certainly quite an experience and the girls handled it all with such maturity and determination to achieve their best. I am beyond proud of each and every one of them. Our results are a true reflection of determination and commitment to achieving one’s best, despite great uncertainty.
March, June & November 2019

Congratulations to all our dancers who put so much effort into their performance of ‘The Little Mermaid’ on Saturday evening – I know how much your family and friends loved watching you on stage! That moment may be fleeting, but the memories created through working together during rehearsals, the excitement of makeup and costumes, being backstage, and all that goes with creating a dance production cannot be underestimated. Every student was an absolute credit to our dance school and I am extremely proud of you all.

June 2016
On Sunday the 12th of June 2016, The Mall in St. James’s Park was transformed for The Patron’s Lunch, a street party with 10,000 guests. The majority who attended were from the charities and organisations of which Her Majesty is a Patron. As part of the celebrations, 300 young Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) dancers and their teachers performed in a parade on the Mall in honour of Her Majesty the Queen. Isaac-Clarke Academy of Dance (ICAD) were honoured to be the only school in Wales to be chosen to take part. Lynn Wallis, Artistic Director of the RAD choreographed the performance and a group of ten dancers worked ‘in secret’ to learn the routine. There were seven segments to the Parade, one for each decade of the Queen’s reign, and Isaac-Clarke Academy of Dance were in the opening sequence based on the 1950’s. There was much excitement and pride at being chosen by the RAD to represent them and be a part of this once in a lifetime opportunity, as well as a privilege to thank Her Majesty, through dance, for all she has done throughout the seven decades of her reign.
“Isaac-Clarke Academy of Dance was absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Patron’s Lunch Parade, firstly to be able to congratulate the Queen on her 90th Birthday by being part of such a huge national celebration, and secondly to thank her for the credibility and mark of quality her patronage gives the Royal Academy of Dance. Nine local dance students, ranging in age from eleven to eighteen, as well as myself, travelled to London and were totally consumed with excitement, a few nerves and lots of smiles at being a part of something so special. Not even the wet British weather could dampen our spirits and when the sun came out for the second performance, watched by the Queen and many other members of the Royal family, we made the most of this once in a lifetime opportunity, dancing down The Mall to the joyful sound of bagpipes, not quite believing we were actually there!"
